New York Book Show

Cover and interior design for the New York Book Show's 2016 catalog.

Since 2016 was the 30th anniversary of the show, inspiration was drawn from the 1980's Memphis-Milano style of bold geometric shapes—a popular design when the show began.

The letters were developed from a previously designed typeface (below) to create an image of bold shapes subtly resembling books on a bookshelf, while also hinting at New York skyscrapers.
